Carriage Rides with Santa at Woodbury Lakes →
On Saturday and Sunday, December 4th and 5th, you can take a horse-drawn carriage ride with St. Nick at Woodbury Lakes Shopping Center.  The rides are free with a donation of one non-perishable food item per rider.

Area malls preparing for a Santa-filled month →
Woodbury Lakes shopping center is holding a “Carriage rides with Santa” event Saturday, Dec. 4 and Sunday, Dec. 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Woodbury Lakes Shopping Center; 9020 Hudson Road. The event is located near Coldwater Creek. Santa will be regularly visiting Woodbury Lakes from Nov. 26 to Dec. 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Finally, there's a place to eat at Woodbury Lakes →
Lakes Tavern & Grill will open Nov. 1 in Woodbury shopping center in the space formerly occupied by Boston’s Pizza. The owners are Woodbury residents Michael and Susan Miller. They plan to open for lunch and dinner, serving an American menu of sandwiches, pizzas and pastas. Two happy hours and weekend breakfast are in the mix.

Repairs set for busy Woodbury street →
Washington County is planning to repave Radio Drive from just north of Donegal Drive, through the intersection with Valley Creek Road to just south of Pioneer Drive/Afton Road. The construction area affects the City Centre retail areas, Woodbury City Hall and Public Safety Building. Work is expected to start on Sept. 27 and last four weeks.

Holiday wants a car wash →
Seasons Marketplace, at the southeast corner of Tamarack Road and Radio Drive, includes a Holiday convenience store with fuel pumps. The applicant is requesting to amend the allowed uses identified in The Seasons PUD to include a car wash.  The applicant is also requesting to amend the setback requirement from Tamarack Road from 40 feet to 31 feet to allow construction of the car wash.

State Farm building has likely buyer →
State Farm Insurance built the sprawling, 473,000-square-foot campus in 1996. It served as a regional office for the insurance company. For a time it was Woodbury’s largest employer. Now State Farm has a pending deal to sell its vacant campus at Radio Drive and Interstate 94 to Wellington Management.

Is a Woodbury ice rink a waste or a reward? →
The Freedom Foundation of Minnesota sent out a press release today noting that two Minnesota communities — Woodbury and Eagan — were singled out in a report “Summertime Blues, 100 stimulus projects that give taxpayers the blues.” It was put together by Sen. John McCain and Sen. Tom Coburn. Both communities installed geothermal heating systems in ice rinks.
