On Saturday and Sunday, December 4th and 5th, you can take a horse-drawn carriage ride with St. Nick at Woodbury Lakes Shopping Center. The rides are free with a donation of one non-perishable food item per rider.
Woodbury Lakes shopping center is holding a “Carriage rides with Santa” event Saturday, Dec. 4 and Sunday, Dec. 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Woodbury Lakes Shopping Center; 9020 Hudson Road. The event is located near Coldwater Creek. Santa will be regularly visiting Woodbury Lakes from Nov. 26 to Dec. 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Construction is in full swing for the new Woodbury Public Safety building on Radio Drive. The project should be complete in August 2011.

The developers modified their plan, including by shortening the car wash bay, seeking a smaller roadway setback and modifying the building architecture.
Lakes Tavern & Grillwill open Nov. 1 in Woodbury shopping center in the space formerly occupied by Boston’s Pizza. The owners are Woodbury residents Michael and Susan Miller. They plan to open for lunch and dinner, serving an American menu of sandwiches, pizzas and pastas. Two happy hours and weekend breakfast are in the mix.
Hargis, who is retiring after 17 years as mayor, said he encouraged Stephens to run and that she would do a good job.
Hargis said he does not know the other five mayor candidates.
